"Model Digital-Age Work and Learning" (ISTE, 2008)
As a Creativity Fellowe, with the Scholarship of Research and Creativite Activity (SRCA), myself and two colleagues received a $5,000 Growth Grant. With the funds, we hired two Interaction Design students and two Musical Theatre students to create video, text, and help links for a a web-based Survive and Thrive App topics on the transition to college life and academic success at. Building relationships across the college was key in pulling it all together. The students were co-creators of this app: it was for students by students. We showcased the app with the student panel at the Sheridan Creates conference in March 2017 as highlighted in the Sheridan Insider - it was really their moment and all about them! The success of the app has led to another grant of $10,000 to build more content and create native iOS and Android versions. I learned so much from them about the design process: personas, mood boards, wireframes, scripts, storyboards, and shooting b-roll.
